Music to me is an emotional journey that transforms from one state to another. My goal is to enhance the momentum of this journey while preserving the integrity of the artist's vision.

My love for music extends beyond the studio. I find inspiration in the sounds around me, from the natural rhythms of the world to the urban beats of the city.

When I work, I like to use analog gear to keep myself in an intuitive and creative flow, complemented by digital tools for final touch-ups and modern tasks.

I strive to provide the best service to my clients while ensuring consistent quality on schedule. I approach communication with empathy and sensitivity, working closely with artists to understand their vision and bring it to fruition.

Some clients seek for my sensitivity and care in handling their music, while others appreciate my willingness to take bolder actions when it is needed to serve the song.
I bring a diverse skillset to the table, backed by my past experience as an artist, engineer, and producer. I continue to learn and evolve my skills to bring out the best in every project.

I founded James Mastering in 2010 in Berlin. In 2022, I built a new mastering suite in Palma De Mallorca, and I am working a lot from there. For now, both studios co-exist in Berlin and Mallorca.

I have worked and working with a wide range of artists, producers, and labels. Some of my clients include Joep Beving, Jean Michel Jarre, Kelvin Colt, Innelea, The Kite String Tangle,, Jonas Saalbach, Kling Klang Klong, Marti Fischer, Afrikan Boy, Bongo Boulevard, Alar, Spada, Paige, David Tort, Hollt, Clueso, Bonaparte, and Alma, among others.

Some independent artists I have worked with and find the collaboration with to be creatively fulfilling and inspiring are ORI, Aryeh, Richie Setford, Emma Elizabeth, Yehezkel Raz, Dirty-Honkers, Bü, Relatiiv, and Laura-Elle.

Ultimately, my goal is to create polished and competitive finished records that do justice to the artist's vision and reach their full musical and sonic potential. I am honored and humbled to be a part of each artist's journey and look forward to working with you.
